Getting started
AirMouse has two halves: the app on your iPhone and a small free app on the computer. Five minutes from nothing to a working trackpad.
What you need
- An iPhone with iOS 17 or later.
- A computer running macOS 13 or later, Windows 10 or 11, or Linux.
- Both on the same Wi-Fi or wired network.
Three steps
- Install the computer app. Download it from the download page. On a Mac, drag it into Applications and open it. On Windows, run the installer. On Linux, unpack it and run
./airmouse-server. Details for each system are in Installing the computer app. - Open AirMouse on the iPhone. The computer appears in the list by itself. Tap it.
- Click Allow on the computer. A box asks whether to trust the phone. That is the whole of pairing, and it never asks again.
Nobody at the computer? It opens a pairing page in its own browser with a 4-digit code and a QR code. Scan it from the phone or type the code. See Pairing.
