Docs / Using AirMouse
Presenting
Leave the clicker at home. The phone that is always in your pocket moves the slides, and it is already paired.
Why use the phone
A presentation clicker is one more thing to carry, pair, charge and lose, and it is usually in the other bag. The phone is in your hand, already paired with your computer, and it does more than next and previous.
The basics
- Open the deck in Keynote, PowerPoint or Google Slides on the computer and start the slideshow.
- On the phone, tap the trackpad or press L to go to the next slide. Slideshows advance on a click.
- For more control, open the keyboard:
| Key | Keynote and PowerPoint |
|---|---|
| → or ↓ | Next slide |
| ← or ↑ | Previous slide |
| B | Black screen, and back |
| Esc | End the slideshow |
A presenting profile
Make a profile called Presenting with tiles for the keys you use most: next, previous, black screen, end. Bind it to Keynote or PowerPoint and the pad changes as soon as the slideshow app is in front (Mac and Windows).
Tips
- AirMouse works anywhere on the same network, so you can walk the room.
- Turn on the live screen on a Mac to see the current slide on the phone without turning around.
- The phone screen stays awake while you are on the trackpad.
