Power
Sleep, lock, log off, restart and shut down, each confirmed on the phone first.
The actions
Power in the bottom bar offers Sleep, Lock, Log off, Restart and Shut down. Each one asks on the phone first, for example "Restart Studio Mac?".
| Action | Mac | Windows | Linux |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sleep | Sleeps at once | Sleeps at once | Suspends at once |
| Lock | Locks the screen | Locks the screen | Locks the session |
| Log off | Goes through macOS | Logs off | Not available: use the desktop's own menu |
| Restart | Goes through macOS | Restarts at once | Restarts at once |
| Shut down | Goes through macOS | Shuts down at once | Powers off at once |
On Windows and Linux, restart and shut down happen as soon as you confirm on the phone, with no second question on the computer. Save your work first.
Waking it again
A sleeping computer can be woken from the phone if it has wake-on-LAN switched on. When a saved computer is offline, the Power panel shows Wake up. See Pairing.
