Trackpad

The whole screen below the live view is a trackpad, with mouse buttons underneath.

The arrow crossing the room: one finger on the phone moves the cursor on the computer.

Moving and clicking

The full list, including the three-finger swipes and pinch, is in Gestures.

The buttons

Under the pad are L, M and R. L works like a real mouse button: hold it and move a finger on the pad to drag, for example to select text or move a window. M and R click. If the connection drops while L is held, both the phone and the computer let go of it.

Speed and direction

In Settings:

  • Cursor speed, from 0.5× to 4×, default 1.6×.
  • Natural scrolling, on by default. It also flips the direction of three-finger sideways swipes.

The screen stays awake while you are on the trackpad. After a gesture, a small badge names what was sent.
